For 11,950 euros (entry-level version “LS” with petrol engine 1.2 to 70 hp), Chevrolet Aveo 5-door provides office equipment often stored in the column of options in the competition. Apart from those mentioned above, they include a seat back divisible by asymmetric halves, the Isofix anchorage system, a radio CD MP3, cruise control and emergency brake assist. The fact that the small car is assembled for the first time on U.S. soil rather than South Korea is perhaps not unrelated to that decision.
In the U.S., the power of the small Chevy does not fall to less than 140 horsepower, just to erase the memory of its predecessor with its considered anemic 1.6 of 110 hp. The new Aveo, sorry! Sonic offers a choice between the 1.4 supercharged 140-horsepower 4-cylinder and 1.8 of the same power, both borrowed from its big sister, the Cruze.
