Nissan Serena, Honda Freed And Mitsubishi Grandis Calm Facing VW Touran

VW Touran which just launched in Indonesia has been faced calm by Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi. As we know that in MPV class VW Touran will sure to face and battle with Nissan Serena, Honda Freed and Mitsubishi Grandis.
However, Mitsubishi side has commented that VW Touran was not a treathening of Grandis because from the price side, it’s far different, Mitsubishi Grandis price is about 335-335 million rupiah while the Touran about 395 million rupiah.
The same case with Grandis, Nissan Serena and Honda Freed also offer price under the Touran. The price of Nissan Serena for instance is about 272-320 million rupiah.
So there is nothing to worry about the TOuran existance.

The most contibutes of Nissan’s sale in 2008 are Livina and New X-Trail car. While the Nissan’ line up in Indonesia are Livina (Grand Livina, Livina XR dan Livina X-Gear), New X-Trail, Latio, Serena, Teana and Navara.

Again new MPV will launch in Indonesia and become the competitor of Nissan Serena, Honda Odyssey, Mitsubishi Grandis And Toyota Kijang Innova. The new MPV on which is VW Touran.
The Volkswagen Touran dimension is 4.407×1.790×1.635 mm with wheelbaase 2.678mm.
Rumors said that the VW Touran will launch in the middle of 2009 in Indonesia Motor Show (IIMS) 2009, but there is a source said that Volkwagen schedulled to launch the Touran soon maybe at May 2009.
The price of VW Touran predicted about 300 million rupiah.
